Ana Forcinito is Professor of Latin American Literature and Culture in
the Department of Spanish and Portuguese Studies and the holder of the Arsham
and Charlotte Ohanessian Chair in the
College of Liberal Arts at
the University of Minnesota. She has published Memorias
y nomadías: géneros y cuerpos en los márgenes del posfeminismo (2004), and Los umbrales del testimonio: entre las
narraciones de los sobrevivientes y las marcas de la posdictadura (2012). She has also co- edited
two volumes: Human Rights and in Latin American and Iberian Cultures (with
Fernando Ordoñez, 2009) and Human
Rights and Latin American Cultural Studies (with Raúl Marrero Fente and Kelly McDonough 2009). She is the editor of
the forthcoming volume The Layers of Memory and the Discourse of Human Rights:
Artistic and Testimonial Practices in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula
(HIOL, 2013).
